Although the number of people crossing the European Union (EU)’s eastern border from Ukraine has decreased, the increase in combat actions throughout the Slavic territory may lead to an increase in the number of refugees, Warsaw radio station reported this Monday.
A large number of buses with Ukrainians are expected to arrive at the railway station in Warsaw, which are gathering in the city of Leopolis.
Since the beginning of the military actions between Russia and Ukraine, some 10 million people have been forced to leave their homes, while almost four million of them have fled the country.
The EU bloc’s interior ministers met in Brussels on Monday to discuss the coordination on the refugee settlement, included the financial support and of other kind to the member states that receive them.
