Cuerpo : One of the enterprises present at the fair, Guajiritos S.R.L., specializes in global distribution systems for services, and seeks to computerize and automate the entire e-commerce process, instead of focusing only on the sale to an end customer by means of an electronic card.
Miguel Menendez, general director of this enterprise, made up of 48 specialists, told Prensa Latina that the company’s goal goes beyond developing software and charging for a product; instead, they intend to participate with the client in its continuous improvement.
He added that they will participate in the next Cuban Tourism Fair in May, and will give a lecture to launch the country’s global distribution system for tourism services.
Thanks to this platform, he went on to say, all wholesale agencies and tour operators that interact with Cuba will be able to do so through an automated process, with the use of the tool they have developed jointly with the Ministry of Tourism.
The work of Acubamos S.U.R.L., a micro, small and medium-sized company, is also in the field of digital commercial transactions.
Its president, Amel Herrera, said that his team is working on the implementation of an e-commerce platform where they intend to integrate all economic actors from Cuban society.
He added that they will commercialize lodging within a virtual store that will be managed by the suppliers themselves with the help of existing payment methods in the country, such as Enzona and Transfermovil.
