The signatories of the communiqué agreed that the climate crisis represents a crucial issue, which demands radical measures.
At the initiative of the Fridays for Future movement, led by Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, young people from various countries and continents will take to the streets to express their discomfort with the lack of commitment from governments when it comes to addressing an existential threat to humanity.

They also assured that they share the anguish of the new generations in the face of environmental deterioration, and described it as legitimate and demanded that action be taken.
The signatories denounced that every day species disappear, forests recede and human beings see their houses swallowed by the rising waters, while the political discourse goes in another direction, under an unsustainable model of production and consumption.
Climate change and the crisis it represents is not a hypothesis, it is a real threat, which is not only up to young people to face, they said.
