“To talk about teaching coverage, we have to talk about quality,” underlined Velázquez.

She emphasized the importance of vocational training, and urged the necessary attention to teachers and professors, even intervening in their personal problems.

“We must ensure that the graduates of the Pedagogical Schools continue their improvement in the course by meeting in our universities, an indicator that is advancing in this central province of Cuba,” she stressed.

She stressed that training, improvement and attention to directors and teachers continues to be a priority for professionals in the sector.

In the balance, the commendable result obtained in Villa Clara in the entrance exams to Higher Education transcended, in a high percentage of passes, an indicator much higher than the previous period.

During the meeting, the substantive processes of teaching and indicators of the continuous improvement of the general education system were also analyzed.
