In its monthly report about the issue, the news agency condemned the deliberate aggressions by Israeli troops against Palestinian journalists.
The aim of that strategy is to limit their activities and coverage about the continuous violations perpetrated by the military forces against defenseless citizens, it stated.
Only in February, 18 Palestinian journalists were injured by rubber bullets and tear gas canisters, it noted.
As an example, Wafa cited the four-year sentence to journalist Yazan Jaafar Abu Salah and the beating to an international agency photographer while covering the crackdown on a protest in East Jerusalem.
According to Wafa, the Israeli army committed a total of 384 violations against journalists working in the occupied Palestinian territory in 2021.
