Angolan Minister of State begins visit to Cuba
Havana Feb 27 (Prensa Latina) Angola's Minister of State, Adao de Almeida, paid tribute today to the Cuban internationalists who took part in the independence struggles of his country.

As part of the official visit to Havana, the also head of the Civil House of the Presidency laid a wreath at the pantheon of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Colon Cemetery in this capital.

De Almeida will carry out a work program until March 2, during which he is scheduled to meet with Ricardo Cabrisas, Cuba’s Deputy Prime Minister and Gerardo Peñalver, interim head of Foreign Affairs.

It was reported to the press that he will also visit places related to the sectors of bilateral cooperation linked to biotechnology and social issues.

More than 2,100 Cubans gave their lives during Angola’s fight for its independence.

Cuba and Angola are currently cooperating in several sectors for the benefit of both peoples.

Relations between the two countries were forged in the struggle against colonialism and apartheid.
