Under the theme “Building forward better: A green, inclusive and resilient Africa poised to achieve the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063,” the event will take place on March 3-5 with the participation of African officials, legislators and ministers.
According to reporters, the theme is aligned with the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development scheduled for July, in which strategies to promote economic growth amid the circumstances imposed by Covid-19 will be discussed.
The event, organized by the Commission and the Rwandan Government, in collaboration with the African Union Commission, among others, will also be attended by experts from UN member countries, professionals from academies and private sector agencies, plus members of the civil society.
Participants will review the implementation of some development goals, as well as identify interests, strategies and policy actions to undertake the economic and social reconstructions in light of the regional and global impact of the pandemic.
