According to Mr. Heger, the Ukrainian government requested material aid from Slovakia, local newspaper Pravda reported Wednesday.
Ukraine situations have been recently worsened by the deployment of Russian troops near the border, a pretext the United States interprets as a possible invasion.
Moscow strongly rejected such accusations, and defends the right to move forces within its own territory as it sees fit, while accusing the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) of seeking pretexts to send more military equipment nearby the Russian borders. And, although military drills have concluded, and Russian troops are already pulling back to their bases, statements continue coming from the United States that Russia is orchestrating provocations in Ukraine.
