Air Caraibes general manager Marc Rochet spoke in Paris with Cuban Ambassador Otto Vaillant and Tourism adviser Diana Rosa Gonzalez, a meeting in which they addressed the preparations to resume flights in autumn.
The meeting held at the Cuban Embassy in France ratified Air Caraibes’ interest in the Cuban market.
For his part, Vaillant highlighted the rapprochement and the possibility of resuming flights after the hard impact the pandemic had on travelers.
The airline had earlier planned dates to resume flights to Havana, but the waves of Covid-19 contagions thwarted its goal, the most recent of which was caused by the highly transmissible Omicron coronavirus variant in late 2021.
