In recent statements, the Brazilian head of State explained that his government is interested in promoting exchanges in energy, defense and agriculture, and warned that “Brazil depends, to a large extent, on fertilizers from Russia and Belarus.”
He noted that during his trip to Russia, he will be accompanied by Ministers Carlos Alberto Franca (Foreign Affairs), Walter Souza Braga Netto (Defense) and Anderson Torres (Justice).
According to Brazilian media, Bolsonaro will hold talks with Putin on February 16. He also expects to meet with the chairman of the State Duma (Lower House of the Russian Parliament), Viacheslav Volodin.
Another meeting will be with representatives of the agro-industrial sector, including fertilizer producers, and the energy sector (nuclear energy and gas production).
