Cuban, Romanian universities reach collaboration agreements

Havana, Feb 9 (Prensa Latina) Universities from Cuba and Romania have signed collaboration agreements and memorandums of understanding, as they urged for identifying areas for two-way exchange in line with the interests of both nations.

The signings were conducted as part of the International Congress on Higher Education University-2022, which is being held this week at the Havana International Conference Center (HICC), in the presence of Cuba´s Higher Education Minister José Ramón Saborido.

The parties involved highlighted the significance of collaboration and pointed out the need to resume postgraduate, master’s and PhD exchange programs for the benefit of Cuban and Romanian students.

Among sectors prioritized in cooperation are technological development, innovation and health.

Universidad-2022 Congress has a scientific program that works both in-person and virtually, attended by delegates from thirty countries.

The Congress includes workshops, symposia and forums that focus on the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the university-company link, knowledge management, the role of student and union organizations, as well as the training of competent professionals.
