The entity confirmed that the National Anti-corruption Policy will be implemented by the National Anti-Corruption System (NAS), one of the most criticized institutions by President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who has repeatedly questioned its use.

According to the SFP, it is a mid and long-term plan to better organize the fight against corruption deeply entrenched in the country during the 32 years of neoliberal governments.

In its first session of the year, the information adds, the Coordination Committee of the NAS unanimously approved the National Anti-corruption Policy, its strategies and action lines, and the intelligence protocols in the fight against this scourge, but with respect for human and gender rights.

The SFP announced that it will define a criminal prosecution plan, strengthen the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic and of the states and establish a standardized system of complaints.
