In a communiqué, the association, founded in 1998, stressed its repudiation of Washington’s economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, as well as its tightening with more than 240 measures during the Donald Trump administration, all of which are still in force under Joe Biden’s Government.
The members of Cuba Linda welcomed Cuban Ambassador to France Otto Vaillant, at a meeting in which they expressed their solidarity with Cuba and its struggles in defense of sovereignty.
The association condemned the tightening of the US blockade amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the destabilizing actions aimed at a regime change.
Regarding Washington’s hostility, at the meeting with the diplomat, the association acknowledged the Cuban people’s resistance their popular response of support for the Revolution in the light of the subversive crusade, consisting of stimulating and financing anti-government protests.
Cuba Linda pointed out that concrete actions in support of Cuba will be taken this year, some of which are already underway, such as a new fundraising campaign to support the Cuban health system, with the first 15,000 euros already sent through MediCuba Suiza.
