The event, called The future, peace and solidarity among peoples does not stop, will also support the inauguration of President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, which took place on January 10, and the popular will expressed at the elections.
From the Fernando Gordillo Auditorium of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN-Managua), former students from Cuba’s educational institutions will reiterate their support for the Government of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN).
During his visit to Nicaragua, heading the Cuban delegation to Ortega’s swearing-in ceremony, President Miguel Diaz-Canel spoke with representatives of local solidarity movements and expressed his conviction in the continuity of the social, political and economic progress promoted for 15 years.
The Cuban president also expressed his conviction about the FSLN’s victory in the November 7 general elections, an achievement for the left-wing forces of Latin America and the Caribbean, especially after the coup attempt against Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega in 2018.
