On behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you and your people on the National Holiday of the Republic of Cuba, Liberation Day, said the message published on the official website of the Azerbaijani president.

Aliyev said that the development of relations between the two countries is gratifying.

He also highlighted the support provided by the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Specialized Doctors in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Azerbaijan.

“I think that friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba will continue developing successfully thanks to our efforts, and our cooperation in multilateral organizations, including the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement,” he noted.

Aliyev conveyed to Diaz-Canel “his best wishes for him, eternal peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Cuba.”
