The President tweeted highlighting the decades of work of Cenesex in the name of guaranteeing “the rights of all people”, an aspiration also expressed in the Code of the Family, to be subjected to referendum over the next few months.

According to the local press, the Cenesex works closely with other State institutions and organizations of civil society, which has allowed reaching new heights in issues related to childhood, youth and women’s empowerment.

The director of the entity Mariela Castro Espín and the Doctor in Sciences Ada Caridad Alfonso Rodríguez were awarded the Carlos J. Finlay medal during the congratulatory event for their exceptional contribution to the progress of sciences and the wellbeing of the Cuban people based on a gender perspective.
