The Expanded Immunization Program, attached to the Ministry of Healthcare and Sports, received the doses and transported them to the National Institute of Health Laboratories in order to preserve them in cold storage, since the vaccines require freezers that can generating ultra-low temperatures, according to the Ahora el Pueblo newspaper.
“We celebrate the arrival of new batches of vaccines, which will allow innoculating more people,” said Alma Morales, representative of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO).
This new batch will secure the egalitarian access to vaccines and the immunization of the population.
