According to the source, the exercise will take place over the Mediterranean Sea and will involve F-15, F-16 and F-35 fighters, Gulfstream G550 reconnaissance planes and refueling planes.
The aircraft will travel more than a thousand kilometers during the exercise in order to simulate the distance they would have to travel if they were to bomb Iran.
The news coincides with the increase in warmongering rhetoric by the Tel Aviv authorities against Tehran.
Israeli national media such as The Jerusalem Post newspaper revealed that the government launched a diplomatic offensive to boycott the restart of nuclear talks.
As part of the campaign, Defense Minister Benny Gantz traveled to the United States, where he will meet with his counterpart Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Both Gantz and the Army Chief of Staff, General Aviv Kohavi, have claimed on several occasions that the armed forces are developing a plan against Iran.
“It is a very complicated job, with a lot of intelligence, a lot of operational capacity, a lot of weapons. We are working on all these issues,” Kohavi said in September in an interview with the Walla news website.
