China’s inflation rose to 2.3 percent in November

China, inflación, alza
Beijing, Dec 9 (Prensa Latina) China's inflation closed with a 2.3 percent year-on-year increase in November, and thus accelerated the upward trend shown since the previous month, the National Bureau of Statistics reported Thursday.

This entity stated that in general terms, food price climbed 1.6 percent and it was once again a key factor in the behavior of China’s consumer price index.

The country had an increase of 30.6 percentage points in the price of fresh vegetables, which surpassed the price of pork that was soared for 20 consecutive months after the spread of the African swine flu in August 2019.

Meanwhile, wholesale inflation in the industrial sector rose 12.9 percent and the figure was slightly lower than in October, thanks to measures to curb the rising cost of raw materials and energy.

China recorded an inflation rate above five points in early 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak and the extension of the Lunar New Year holidays.
