Angola, Cuba, relaciones, culturales
Luanda, Nov 30 (Prensa Latina) Representatives from Angola and Cuba on Tuesday reviewed various common purposes in this capital in order to promote bilateral exchange in the universe of culture.

“It is a way of continuing to unite our peoples, despite the geographical distance,” Secretary of State Paula Francisco, who led the host delegation on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment, told Prensa Latina.

In this regard, she highlighted Cuba’s presence in the 2nd Luanda Biennial-Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace, which concluded on Tuesday after several days of intense sessions.

According to Francisco, a matter of interest is the technical assistance that experts from Cuba could offer in the field of restoration of buildings with historic and cultural values.

Cuban Deputy Culture Minister Fernando Leon thanked Angola for the invitation to the Biennial and the various meetings with authorities in the sector, which, he noted, will help to reactivate and generate different projects in the fields of artistic education, preservation of heritage, musical performances and film production, among other areas.

Likewise, he underlined the willingness to develop joint programs that contemplate the transfer of knowledge and technologies.

The Cuban delegation also included executives from the Antex company, based here for more than 30 years ago, and members of the Cuban Embassy in Luanda.
