The Cuban ambassador to this European country, Zelmys Dominguez, highlighted the legacy of the historic Cuban Commander-in-Chief and thanked the support of the solidarity groups attending the event.
Domínguez also referred to the current situation of Cuba, under a criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade by the United States for more than 60 years, and denounced the recent provocations orchestrated from U.S. territory against that country.
Among those attending the commemoration were the vice-president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Noemi Rabaza, visiting this nation, as well as leaders of the Communist Party of Greece and militants of that political force, among them members of the European Parliament.
Also present were members of the Syriza Left Coalition, the Democratic Alliance, the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, the Hellenic-Cuban Solidarity Association, the José Martí Cultural Association, the Greek Committee for International Democratic Solidarity, the Committee for Distension and Peace, as well as the Communist Youth of this country.
