Headed by its First Vice-President Bladimir Matos, the visiting group arrived in this country accompanied by a delegation of INRH directors to participate in the 5th Meeting of the Joint Steering Committee with the South African Department of Water and Sanitation.
During the meeting, both sides updated the bilateral ties of common interest in that sphere.
The contact with the South African counterpart, Matos told Prensa Latina, was “a complete success.”
The collaboration Cuba offers to South Africa, he said, is a genuine expression of the South-South cooperation.
After the meetings and contacts held in recent days, he said, South Africans and Cubans have reached the consensus that collaboration is a necessity, despite the attempts of those who try to avoid it.
The historical cooperation between both nations is materialized in many fields, included health services, education, science and technology, agriculture, infrastructure development, housing, water and sanitation, defense, human settlements, public works, sports, information and communication technologies, among others.
