In his speech to participants in the Asia-Europe Forum (ASEM), the Russian chief executive stressed that the event cannot fail to address these issues and highlighted the relevance of cooperation between member countries in the current context.
He warned that new challenges are added to the “turbulence” in international relations, including the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which has taken millions of lives, complicated global economic ties and severely damaged the global economy.
“In the fight against the pandemic and to overcome its consequences, all states must unite their efforts. And ASEM has a special role here”, Mishustin emphasized, according to TASS news agency.
He added that Moscow is taking systemic measures to protect the health of citizens, while helping neighbors in Eurasia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America fight the disease.
The Russian prime minister stressed that mass vaccination began in several countries with his country’s drugs, and national immunizer Sputnik V was subjected to serious controls, gaining confidence and being registered in 70 countries. Furthermore, its production has also been organized to be carried out beyond national borders.
