Vietnam, Japón, primer, ministro, visita, inversiones
Hanoi, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assured on Wednesday that Vietnam-Japan relations are at their best moment and invited the business community of that country to keep expanding bilateral trade and cooperation ties.

Vietnamese media reported here that as part of his official visit to Japan until tomorrow, the head of government met with executives of major companies and universities interested in investing in the country.

One of the best-received proposals was that of the Shionogi Group, which expressed its willingness to establish an anti-Covid-19 vaccine and drug plant in Vietnam.

The Hitachi Group, meanwhile, expressed interest in expanding its investments in projects related to health, the environment and natural disaster damage reduction. The Sumitomo Group did the same with regard to the development of urban areas.

Executives from Okinawa, Jutendo, Hokkaido, Waseda and Hiroshima universities, and Kobuta, Paramount, Horiba and Azuma corporations plan to invest in transportation, health, technology and renewable energy.

Minh Chinh thanked for the offers and recalled that Japan is one of the main investors in Vietnam with around 4,800 projects valued at more than 65 billion dollars.

Japan is the largest donor for Official Development Assistance to Vietnam with about $27 billion, nearly 30 percent of the total that this government allocates to other countries around the world.
