natural-gas-el-salvador
San Salvador, Nov 20 (Prensa Latina) Brand-new Pacific Power Plant (PPP) is consolidated as El Salvador´s sustainable option, after the anchoring of the region's first natural gas cargo ship this week.

From the coast of the western port of Acajutla, BW Tatiana ship can be seen anchored, a stalwart of this project that, as fully implemented, will supply 30% of national energy consumption.

Outlaying as much as $1 billion, the PPP is El Salvador´s largest investment, and for the moment overshadowed other energy megaprojects left behind.

According to official data, this new investment includes a generator with 19 natural gas internal combustion engines and a steam turbine, with a total capacity to generate 378 megawatts (MW).

Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele paid a visit to the magaproject on Monday, assuring his administration undid blockades imposed by previous governments to this project.
