1,428 Dominicans deported to the DR so far in 2021

Santo Domingo, Nov 20 (Prensa Latina) At least 1,428 Dominicans have been deported to Dominican Republic (DR) from manifold nations between January and November 2021, after committing crimes during their stay in those countries, local media reported.

According to the Listín Diario newspaper, the list includes the United States from which the largest number have been returned, a total of 1,132 nationals who were in prison implicated in cases of drug trafficking, organized crime, money laundering, assaults, kidnappings, forgery, violation of laws immigration, arson, terrorism and other minor crimes.

The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) report also indicates that during the same period, Puerto Rico (101), Spain (30), Chile (29) from the Turks and Caicos Islands (42) and from Colombia (15).

Upon arrival, deportees are transferred from the airport & nbsp; to the Reception Center for Illegal Immigrants, managed by Migration and operating in the Haina Vacational, in the San Cristóbal province, where returnees are taken to be purged.
