Iran blames US for crisis in nuclear deal

Tehran, Nov 19 (Prensa Latina) Iran on Friday held the United States Government responsible for the nucler deal crisis due to its withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed in 2015 between Tehran and six world powers.

In order to revive that deal, Iranian authorities will resume talks by late November in Vienna, the capital of Austria, with the remaining signatories (the United Kingdom, France, Russia and China, plus Germany).

The priority by the Islamic Republic’s negotiators is the total and effective elimination of the anti-Iranian oppressive measures arranged by Washington, following its withdrawal from the pact in 2018.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian ratified that Iran’s aim in participating in the upcoming talks is the lifting of those sanctions.

The signatories of the multilateral deal, covered by UN Resolution 2231, he added, agreed that the US Government is guilty of the non-implementation of the treaty.

Those talks began in April with six rounds without any result and Tehran announced that the November 29 dialogue will only cover the anti-Iranian coercive measures.
