The foreign minister recalled on Twitter that defense drills will make it possible to better face “the destabilizing plans that threaten the peace, sovereignty and independence of the Homeland.”
Cuba will carry out the Moncada Exercises on Thursday with the participation of leaders and chiefs of command and management bodies, a process that will conclude on November 20, on the National Defense Day.
The drills, announced by the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, allows the exchange of information, the organization of cooperation, and other measures for the protection of the country and the command of troops, in settings as close as possible to the reality of a warfare.
The Exercise is taking place in accordance with scheduled dates and in consideration to improvements of the epidemiological situation in the country for the control of the Covid-19 pandemic and in the context of a reopening to the new normal.
