¨Surrender¨ is not in the Cuban vocabulary, warns French journalist

Paris, Nov 16 (Prensa Latina) Surrender is not a word included in Cuba´s vocabulary, a country where popular mobilization continues supporting the Revolution, according to French journalist José Fort.

In a statement regarding present situation in Cuba and failure of the US crusade to enforce a regime change in the country, following calls for Monday’s anti-government riots were really unsuccessful, the former correspondent in Havana for the daily L’Humanité stated that November 15 proved the strength of the Cuban Revolution.

“Both ancient and today history show the bastion against imperialism depends irremediably on popular mobilization and organized response. A great number of examples worldwide and particularly in Latin America have confirmed that ahead of imperialism (USA) and strength of its money and weapons, to become reconciled to enemy is to surrender,” he said.

Mr. Fort denounced that the destabilizing plans supported with logistical, media and financial resources from abroad were orchestrated to create chaos during the same day the Cuban government reopened its borders to tourism and resumed the return to the face-to-face education.

President Joe Biden, local and Miami organizers strongly believed they could generate violence and discord in Cuba, capitalizing on its serious economic crisis, largely as a consequence of a blockade imposed by the United States, but failed for just one reason: the Cuban people took to the streets and thwarted the provocation, Mr. Fort stressed.

According to Fort, the Cuban people is currently resisting with no hesitation since they really know their major enemy: the US Imperialism.
