In an anti-imperialist ceremony held outside the Cuban Embassy in Caracas, attendees strongly condemned the misinformation campaign on social networks and the press, along with the use of internal agents subjected to US plans in order to generate a destabilizing scenario in Cuba.
In this regard, the leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Tania Díaz warned about the activation of the “media rabble, the dirty war laboratories and the compromise against values and sovereignty of peoples to attack Cuba.”
Venezuela´s Vice Deputy Foreign Minister Rander Peña, on the other hand, asserted that both Cuban and Venezuelan peoples are the world’s first moral reserve; “That’s why we are attacked, to try to damage humanist policies and for the defense of just causes.”
US government fears the humanist and socialist model promoted by Cuba and Venezuela could spread around the world, which would ruin the prevailing corporate and capitalist model, Mr. Peña said.
