French organizations praise Cuba’s ambassador

Reconocimiento al embajador de Cuba en Francia
Paris, Nov 3 (Prensa Latina) Parliamentarians, diplomats and solidarity associations continued today in France with the recognition to Cuba’s Ambassador Elio Rodriguez for his work in favor of the links between both peoples, on occasion of finishing his mission.

The diplomat, about to return to Cuba, was received in Paris by Senator Helene Conway-Mouret, chairperson of the France-Caribbean Friendship Group in the upper house, praising his work of four years in France.

Some days earlier, Rodriguez shared with the members of the Group of Friendship with Cuba in the National Assembly, a meeting he described as fraternal, and in which he received an award from the president of the group, François-Michel Lambert.

The outgoing ambassador thanked the work, both in the Assembly and in the Senate, to promote Havana-Paris relations in various sectors, particularly the parliamentary one.

He also highlighted the actions carried out by both chambers in rejection of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba for over six decades.

Meanwhile, solidarity associations such as France Cuba and Cuba Cooperation France (CubaCoop), bid farewell to Rodriguez in activities in which they ratified their support to Cuba, and their repudiation of Washington’s blockade.

CubaCoop highlighted the support of the diplomat in his actions in favor of Cuba, including galas, forums and socio-economic cooperation projects.

On Tuesday, the group of Latin American and Caribbean ambassadors accredited in France offered a farewell lunch to Rodriguez.
