Head of Defense, Andriy Taran, handed over the position amid the political and military crisis with Russia, the strengthening of cooperation in that field with the United States and the country’s rapprochement to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Meanwhile, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Oleksiy Lyubchenko; and Deputy Prime Minister and Head of Strategic Industries, Oleg Urusky, did so at a time of global crisis due to the impact of Covid-19.
Two other key offices heads, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Oleksiy Reznikov; and Environment and Natural Resources Minister Roman Abramovsky also surrendered their posts; Ukrinform news agency reported.
The Verkhovna Rada is expected to analyze this Thursday the new proposals to lead these ministries.
