The Ministry of the Interior asked yesterday the Telecommunications Authority to suspend Internet services in various areas of Lahore due to the protest, the metro-bus service in Lahore was also stopped.
TLP leader Pir Ajmal Qadri said the ‘peaceful’ procession would begin after prayers on Friday, according to The News portal.
If any obstacles are created, the party also has a plan B to go by any official attempt, Qadri pointed out to a crowd at a protest site in Lahore.
Police sources indicated that 24 members of the TLP were arrested before the march, newspaper Dawn reflected.
