Iran criticizes US and its European allies

Tehran, Oct 21 (Prensa Latina) Iran today criticized the United States and its European allies for their lack of commitment, inaction and non-compliance with the stipulations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear agreement.

Only the Islamic republic kept its commitments for a year while awaiting a reaction from the signatories to Washington’s exit from the agreement, said the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohamad Eslami.

‘Today, the defendant took the plaintiff’s position,’ he said.

For this reason, he urged the European signatories of the pact, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, to resume their obligations under the agreement, which has been threatened by the unilateral American exit.

However, Iranian officials frequently reiterate that if all parties resume their commitments, so will Iran.

In any case, Tehran demands a total elimination of the oppressive US anti-Iranian measures in order to take the first step towards the reactivation of PIAC.

Iran and the other signatories to the treaty, including Russia and China, held six rounds of dialogue in Vienna, Austria, with the aim of finding a formula for the return of the United States to the agreement.
