Over 104 million people vaccinated against Covid-19 in Brazil

Brasilia, Oct 17 (Prensa Latina) A total of 104,005,629 people have been completely immunized against Covid-19 in Brazil, that is, 48.76 percent of a population of more than 213 million inhabitants.

According to the most recent data from the media, based on statistics provided by the state health departments, more than 151 million Brazilians have received the first shot of the vaccines against this virus and are partially protected.

According to the report, 151,376,304 doses have been administered since the beginning of vaccination, that is, 70.96 percent of the population. Some 4,145,977 people (1.94 percent of the population) have received a booster shot. Taking into account the first, second, single dose and booster shot, 259,529,727 doses have been administered since the beginning of vaccination.

The states with the highest percentage of immunized population (with a second or single dose) are: Sao Paulo (63.05 percent), Mato Grosso do Sul (61.06), Rio Grande do Sul (55.08), Parana (52.37) and Santa Catarina (51.48).

Some of the states whose population is partially protected are Sao Paulo (79.89 percent), Santa Catarina (74.19), Rio Grande do Sul (73.61), Espirito Santo (72,46) and Paraiba (72.32).
