During a meeting with Cuban Ambassador Zelmys Domínguez and Counselor José Oriol Marrero, the Greek lawmakers doubled down on their solidarity with Cuba and support for the resolution annually presented at the UN to call for the end of the US blockade.

Likewise, they highlighted Cuba’s breakthroughs in confronting the Coivd-19 pandemic, despite the tightening of Washington’s aggressions.

In this regard, the parliamentarians praised the development of anti-Covid-19 vaccines by Cuban scientists to fight coronavirus and recognized Henry Reeve Medical Brigade´s international work and efforts.

Greek parliamentarians and Cuban diplomats urged for the strengthening of bilateral relations and agreed to promote exchanges between the Greek Parliament and the National Assembly of People’s Power.
