Most Venezuelans ratify intention to vote in November

Caracas, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) More than half Venezuelans ratify today their intention to attend regional polls on November 21 to exercise their right to vote, a study by Hinterlaces polling company revealed.

President of the entity, Óscar Schemel, reported that according to a survey carried out on the possibility or not of participating in next elections, 52 percent of the questioned indicated that they will attend.

During an interview to Venezolana de Televisión TV chain (VTV), the expert highlighted the good will of a large sector of Venezuelan population to settle differences through voting.

He reported that other surveys conducted also indicate that on average, three out of four Venezuelans have an unfavorable opinion of the majority of the Venezuelan opposition actors. At least 83 percent of those consulted indicate that they do not agree with the decisions and actions of the opposition representatives, Shemel pointed out.

Revolutionary forces, he stressed, have to continue and accelerate the understanding of the new realities, ‘there is a political center that is ‘Chavist’ and is waiting to be heard and that means building new narratives, new messages, new symbols, expanding the speech to bring in other sectors’.

Last Sunday the country held an electoral simulation that was described as successful by international observers and electoral authorities, which was attended in a massive way by voters from all political forces.
