The memorandum was signed by the Director of the BioCubaFarma office in Moscow and the deputy Rector of the University, and manifests the intention to expand the scientific, educational and enterprise cooperation.

The creation of scientific and practical center for the training of high-standard Cuban specialists in pharmaceutical sphere, of great importance for Cuba, has been planned, said to Prensa Latina Adolfo Castillo, attaché for BioCubaFarma in Moscow.

He also said that mutual interest basic research projects will be promoted in the interest of the generation of new products, innovative pharmaceutical technologies, equipment and devices.

Castillo stressed that innovative therapy methods and joint patents are expected to be developed, which will allow enhancing the pharmaceutical capabilities of both Cuba and Russia.

The official assured that the Mendeleev University, leader in Russian chemical and pharmaceutical technologies, recognized the prestige of Cuba’s biotechnology, its results in the field of human, animal and vegetal healthcare, and more recently its achievements in the creation of Covid-19 vaccines. pgh/llp/mem/mml
