‘All Cubans of good will, those who love and build, those who fulfill their part of the duty, the grateful; we are called to put our heart into the island that is a beacon of light on the horizon,’ the invitation to the meeting, circulated in recent days on social networks underlines.
Promoted by the ‘Juntos por Cuba'(Together for Cuba) initiative launched in Europe, the forum will allow sharing ideas and projects on aid to the Caribbean country in difficult times, marked by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for more than six decades.
According to the program, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez will send a message to the event, which will take place in salute to the Cuban Culture Days, scheduled from October 10 to the 20.
Other speakers include Max Lesnick and Carlos Lazo, from the United States; Ada Galano (Italy), Cristina Florez Madan (South Africa), Humberto Perez (Panama), Catia Crespo (Japan), Damayantis Pacheco (Greece), Teresa Keosseuian (Canada), Miriam Palacios (United Kingdom) and Mercedes López-Lanusa Barthelemy (Spain).
