Without directly referring to the demonstrations in Bolivia in repudiation to the offenses to the Wiphala in Santa Cruz, the vice president said that in fact, all nations globally should project themselves in accordance with this philosophy or code.
Responding a question by Prensa Latina about the case of Jeanine Añez, the president of the de facto Government formed in La Paz after a coup d’etat, Choquehuanca stressed that he respects the judicial actions and trusts in the development of the due trial.
Choquehuanca, who is the second in command in Luis Arce’s administration, about to celebrate his first year in power, said that the distortions spread by the media cannot hide the human rights violations that occurred in Bolivia during the dictatorship.
On an official visit to Spain, Choquehuanca was received on Thursday by King Felipe VI of Spain at the Zarzuela Palace, to corroborate the good state of the bilateral relations.
The Bolivian vice president will conclude his stay in Madrid with a meeting with the community of Bolivian residents in Spain.
