We call on all countries, especially the United States, to treat Afghanistan in light of international rights, laws and commitments to avoid negative consequences, the Taliban said on its Twitter account.

According to the new Afghan guideline, the U.S. has violated all international rights and laws as well as its commitments made during the peace process held in Doha, Qatar.

Observers believe that the U.S. strategy would be based on intelligence monitoring based on technology and attacks launched from outside the country.

Washington argues that such actions are justified under international law when a government is ‘unable or unwilling’ to address a threat from groups operating on its territory.

Both the U.S. and the Taliban consider the Islamic State of Khorasan an enemy, offering the possibility of some cooperation.

That faction claimed responsibility for the Aug. 26 attack on Kabul International Airport, then controlled by the United States, and more recently for bomb attacks in the eastern city of Jalalabad.

However, experts on rights warned that this U.S. strategy could take an even greater toll on the civilian population than traditional actions on the ground.

Last September 17, the U.S. acknowledged that a drone strike carried out a few days earlier resulted in the deaths of 10 civilians, including an aid worker and up to seven children.
