Cuban authorities recently reported the reactivation of tourism on November 15 with strict health protocols and a strong Covid-19 vaccination process with products created in this nation.
In a statement, Meliá said that it will resume its operations when restrictions are lifted. At present, this hotel chain has 7 of its hotels in Cuba open.
Meliá is currently building another four hotels. Its hotels in Cuba mainly target pleasure trips, conventions and incentives, located at beaches, places of interest for tourists.
Some of these places are the Coco, Guillermo, Largo, and Santa Maria (center) keys, Holguin, Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey (east), Trinidad and Cienfuegos (center) and Havana, capital of the country.
Cuba, through the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR), justified the gradual reopening of trips by saying that 90 percent of Cubans will be vaccinated against this disease by November.
To enter the island, toutists will have to show a vaccination certificate, and although authorities will not demand a PCR test from travelers, they will run some random ones, besides controlling temperature.
