‘Our demand is to participate in a dialogue focused solely on results,’ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in a message on social networks.
Khatibzadeh condemned Washington’s economic terrorism, while calling on the White House to accept the facts.
‘It is time for the part that abandoned the JCPOA to wake up to the new reality,’ the spokesman noted.
At the time, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed that the condition for the return to negotiations in Vienna depends on whether they are constructive.
Although US President Joe Biden has expressed interest in Washington’s eventual return to the nuclear agreement, so far he maintains the pressure and coercion on Iran exerted by his predecessor, Donald Trump.
The return to dialogue is also conditioned by the Islamic Republic’s fulfillment of its nuclear obligations, although Tehran, according to the United Nations atomic agency, has never violated the provisions of the deal and its measures were taken within the framework of the JCPOA.
