Radical fundamentalists claimed that keeping their new Interior Minister Sirrajudin Haqqani on Washington’s terror list is a clear violation of the pact signed in the Qatari capital, Al Jazeera stated.
The new minister, who is part of the Haqqani Network, has been accused of attacks on US forces in Afghanistan during the 20 years of war.
The United States offered a five million dollars reward for Haqqani, who also remains on a United Nations terror list.
The Doha Agreement paved the way for the withdrawal of US-led foreign forces in return for a guarantee from the Taliban not to allow terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda and the Islamic State to operate on Afghan soil.
After 20 years, the mujahideen control Afghanistan by defeating the foreign military occupation that left the impoverished Central Asian nation with 11 million refugees outside the country, five million Afghans internally displaced and 250,000 civilians dead.
