Two children aged 5 and 10, two women aged 43 and 44, as well as a man aged 63 have been reported injured so far, as declared by an official of the Investigations Committee of the Moscow region.
The explosion rocked the nine-story building at 6:55 a.m. local time, prompting the mobilization of more than 60 emergency personnel and 24 machines for the search and rescue operation among the rubble.
According to authorities, the explosion originated in the apartment of a large family on the third floor and could have been caused by a gas leak.
