During a meeting between Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the country, the two officials also talked about the bilateral trade policies and the efforts to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
Al-Kuwari, who is also an Acting Finance Minister in Qatar, highlighted the incentives and legislation implemented to encourage individual investors and companies, opportunities Italian entrepreneurs can take advantage.
Italy currently ranks as Qatar’s eighth trade partner, with around 2.16 billion dollars in economic exchange in 2020.
As part of his stay in Doha, Di Maio held separate meetings on Sunday with Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
