MINSAP´s Head of Primary HealthCare Department María Elena Soto said that the Covid-19 vaccination clinical trials for children and teenagers have been satisfactorily developed.

All Cuban children, quite important for the country, will receive three doses of Soberana 02 and Abdala vaccines, Ms. Soto stressed on the Mesa Redonda (Round Table) Radio and Television program.

The immunization process will be accompanied by good clinical practices, said Soto, who announced that all resources are already guaranteed.

The vaccine doses for children and adolescents allergic to thiomersal will be ready for September, she said.

All teaching and non-teaching staff will be also vaccinated, in fact, such a process is almost finished, said Soto.

She emphasized that receiving the three doses does not mean to ignore hygienic, sanitary and self-care measures, so the students must wear facemask correctly, wash their hands and keep a social distancing.

Ms. Soto called on the Cuban family to support the vaccination process for a population regarded as society´s most precious treasure.
