Authorities of the Electric Union (UNE) reported on the work of emegency brigades repairing service lines in western provinces of Pinar del Río, Artemisa and the island municipality Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Youth).
According to Granma newspaper, from the 12,408 clients affected by the storm, more than 90 percent already has power.
Ida cut through the Isle of Youth and Pinar del Río last weekend as a category-one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson force scale of 5.
UNE also reported on shortages of electricity in the national power grid due to breakdowns of generating plants, though repair works are on the way to be completed.
