During a meeting with the Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, Tokayev stated that in the first five months of 2021, the volume of bilateral trade increased 26 percent, despite the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
‘Very big plans to increase cooperation through concrete projects’ appear on the joint agenda, Tokayev stressed, according to the TASS news agency.
During his visit to Kazakhstan, Mishustin spoke with former President Nursultan Nazarbayev about the advances in the manufacture of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19 at the Kazakh pharmaceutical plant in Karaganda, where more than five million doses have already been produced.
