On Twitter, Rodríguez talked about a phone conversation on Wednesday with Lavrov, where both leaders reaffirmed their will to strengthen the strategic bilateral relations.

Likewise, the Venezuelan vice president reiterated her gratitude to Russia for its support in controlling and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic in the South American nation.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Lavrov confirmed Moscow’s willingness to contribute to an inclusive solution to the Venezuelan conflict, based on respect for the principles of sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.
